

My position on the ethics here is that MSDN is a subscription for commercial developers, and MS does not offer an option for hobbyists. Stealing it doesn't do a thing to given them incentives to keep doing so.Copyright infringement isn't theft. We are basically down to a handful worth serious consideration and a few second-tier options.īut for all of our problems at least Microsoft does support VB6, even if just at a minimal level that leaves it usable.

I agree that it is very disappointing that we don't have many decent high level language native compilers for Windows. I have a huge problem with this attitude, and sadly we are seeing far too much of it now.
